We are very pleased to begin this email with some excellent news: CAREC will officially become an association with CSSE!

​​Following longstanding advocacy from past CAREC Presidents Iris Berger and Christine Massing, along with support from CAREC members and guidance from CATE and CSSE leaders, we have successfully completed CSSE’s approval process to move from a Special Interest Group within the Canadian Association for Teacher Education to a full association within CSSE.

You are invited to submit proposals to CSSE’s 54th annual conference, taking place May 30 – June 3, 2026, at the University of Winnipeg, with online presentations on May 19. This year’s conference welcomes the rich array of research, teaching, and scholarship in education, across diverse methodologies, knowledge systems, and practices.
